Nicolae Testemițanu University of Medicine and Pharmacy was established in 1945 and is located in the capital city of moldova i.e Chișinău. It is not only known as an educational institute but also as an active teaching hospital built to serve a large number of people.

It was earlier known as Chișinău State University of Pharmacy and Medicine but later on, in 1990, it was renamed in the honour of Nicolae Testemițanu, a man who become respected surgon, great scientist and speaker and the minister of health for the period of 1963 to 1968.
